Rules

The Basics

1. Eventide is rated 2-2-2 and is strictly an 18+ sim. Writers should expect:
   
   1. frequent light profanity and occasional strong profanity
      
   2. violence including combat, injury, and death with graphic detail
      
   3. sexual content including kissing, implied intimacy, and broad sexual activity descriptions, with no explicit detail (fade to black strongly recommended)
      
2. Trigger warnings must precede sensitive content such as suicide, self-harm, or sexual violence.
   
3. Be respectful in-character (IC) and out-of-character (OOC). Zero tolerance for discriminatory behaviour.
   
4. Report issues to command staff for case-by-case moderation.
   
5. Antagonistic behaviour may result in removal.
   

Characters and Applications

1. No god-like powers or omnipotent characters.
   
2. Only Federation-aligned species in the 2180s timeline are permitted.
   
3. Original species require approval.
   
4. No direct canon interaction with Star Trek canon characters/events.
   
5. All characters must be original creations.
   
6. No use of other players’ characters without permission.
   
7. Live-action face claims encouraged; animated avatars are not permitted without permission.
   
8. AI-generated writing is not permitted (except brainstorming for bios).
   
9. Crew limits per writer:
   
   1. 1 primary character
      
   2. 3 non-primary characters
      
   3. 5 non-registered characters
      
   
   
10. Guest writers are permitted under standard rules.

Posting / Writing

1. Third-person past tense writing style.
   
2. Minimum one post per month required.
   
3. Department heads are expected to exceed minimum participation.
   
4. Joint posts must be answered within 3 days.
   
5. Unanswered tags beyond 5 days may be removed or written out of the scene.
