The Edge of Knowing follows USS Eventide on her first great expedition beyond familiar space, as her crew journeys toward one of the Federation's oldest unanswered questions: the Galactic Barrier. Scientists, explorers, and specialists from countless fields will come together to study a phenomenon that has stood at the edge of every star chart, carrying with them the hopes, questions, and expectations of those who sent them there.
The crew will discover that some boundaries exist for a reason, and that the universe has a way of reminding us just how small we are. Beyond the last familiar stars lies a place where ages-old assumptions no longer apply, and where the journey becomes discovery.
